Myrtle JoAnn Henley, 83, of Lima, and formerly of Kenton, passed away at 10:25 p.m. Sunday, January 20, 2019 at the Lost Creek Care Center. She was born on December 8, 1935 in Kenton to the late John H. and Clara (Benjamin) Nichols. She married Paul Henley on February 19, 1954 and he preceded her in death on December 22, 1975. She is survived by three sons: Mark (Deb) Henley of IL; John (Sandy) Henley of FL, and Eric Henley of Lima; a brother, Kenneth Nichols of Marion; her companion, Neil Williams of Kenton; sister, Marilyn "Pickle" Manns of Lima; five grandchildren: Brandon Henley, Michelle Gorden, Tawsha (James Bostater) Stewart, Tara (Jason) Dysert, and Sara Taviano; 9 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; two step-sons: Michael and Scott Williams; three step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild. Two brothers, John "Bud" and James "Butch" Nichols and an infant sister, Patty Nichols, also preceded her in death. JoAnn owned and managed the Midway Restaurant in Kenton for many years and was one of the first women hired to work at Rockwell International. She bowled for several years at Hill Crest Lanes in the Women's League. She also enjoyed playing Bingo. She was a generous employer who always had her employee's best interest in mind. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Michael J.
