Mary Lou Mabrey, 87, of Mt. Victory passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2020. She was born in Kenton on February 21, 1933 to the late Lloyd Albert and Velma Madge (Holden) Mabrey. Mary worked for Daylay Egg Farm in East Liberty and for North Electric for many years as a general foreman. She traveled out of state for North Electric, setting up factories in Johnson City, TN, Galion, OH, and Long Beach, CA. Mary loved animals and traveling with her family. She is survived by six brothers: Lloyd (Virginia-deceased) Mabrey, Jr and Tom Mabrey, both of Kenton, Steve (Theresa) Cukovecki of Xenia, Dan (Mary) Mabrey of Mt. Victory, John Mabrey of Kenton, and Don (Bonnie) Vermillion of Kenton; a sister, Linda (Alan) Struble of Mt. Victory; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, David (Nancy) Mabrey. A private family service will be held on Monday, March 23, 2020 at the SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in memory of Mary to the Hardin County Humane Society. Sincere sympathy to Mary’s family. We were neighbors in Mt Victory. Mary was a kind and gentle soul.
