Denise Camille Jones transitioned home to be in the arms of Jesus at 6:34am on June 13, 2020, after sustaining injuries from a fall in her home in which she suffered two broken arms, on April 8, 2020. She seemed to be recovering well only to succumb to her injuries on June 13, 2020. She was born on January 30, 1958 to Richard E. and Patricia L. Jones in Kenton. Denise is survived by two brothers: Robert E. Jones of Dunkirk and Michael K. Jones of Kenton; and a sister, Jennifer (Kenneth) McClaren of Malta, OH. She is also survived by two nephews: Richard T. (Keera Lynne) McClaren of Malta, OH, and Michael K. Jones, originally of LaRue, OH; and a niece, Kara Rose Anderson of Bellefontaine. On February 14, 1976 she married Charles R. Reames and they divorced in 1992. In the early years of her marriage, they were stationed in Germany, in which Denise was thankful to have been able to see some beautiful parts of the world. She then settled back in the U.S. in 1983 to Havre DeGrace, Maryland and then to Forest Hills, Maryland. Denise worked for Aberdeen, Maryland police department as a dispatcher for nine years. In 1992 she retired to pursue different interests. She then moved back to Kenton to be with her parents and the rest of her family. Denise was a 1976 graduate of Kenton Senior High. She also studied nursing for a time. She previously attended First Baptist Church of Kenton and then found a church home with Berea Baptist Church. She loved horses and had several throughout her life. Denise loved to study the bible; it was her true passion in life. She would then apply it to the situations she would deal with. She loved to help women and children have better lives. If she could help with information or anything, she would try to help make a difference. Denise will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. I will love and miss you forever sissy, until we meet again, I Love You! A funeral service will begin at 1:00pm on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at the SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME where the family will receive friends from 11:00am Thursday until the time of service.
