Martha Stanley Adkins, 89, of Kenton, made her heavenly journey on January 17, 2021. She was born on February 2, 1931 to the late Francis and Estella Marie (Wallace) Scott (of Foraker). She was married to the late Donald Collins who preceded her in death in 1957, the late Lloyd "Pete" Stanley, who preceded her in death in 2006, and the late Corbit Adkins, who preceded her in death in 2012.
Her daughters are Deborah Derr Maier (Duffy), Cora Elsasser (Jack), Margie Kinnear (Chuck), Sue Kinnear (Kelvin), Shannon Keckler (Charlie Firstenberger), Carol Karagianis (deceased).
She is survived by 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. She thoroughly enjoyed all her grandchildren.
Her surviving siblings are Beaty Thompson (Joe), Sharon Lowery (Ron, deceased), Judy Smith (Mike). She is also survived by sisters in law, "Sissy" Evelyn Scott, Judy Scott, Connie Scott. Martha joins family in heaven who went on before her, including brothers, Francie "Bobby" Scott, Billy Scott, Joe "Toby" Scott, Gerald Scott, Darel "Brighteye" (Goldie) Scott, Paul Scott, Tommy Scott, Roger Scott; sisters, Dorothy Scott, Norma (Paul) Newland; grandson, Chris Miller; son in law, Mike Derr.
She was a member of the House of Prayer Church in Kenton, OH and attended Quickstep Church in Alger, Ohio for many years. Martha loved her family. She was very musically gifted; many were blessed by her playing the piano and guitar. Martha ministered through her music and singing at Church and also at local nursing homes for many years. She had a beautiful smile, and loved laughter. She brought kindness, laughter, and joy to everyone she met.
After raising her family, Martha was proud to earn her GED and be chosen as the speaker of the class. Martha enjoyed taking rides through Foraker and sharing stories of her childhood.
Due to Covid, the funeral service will be private. A graveside service open to friends and family will be held at Fairview McDonald Cemetery, State Route 67W on January 23, 2021 at 3:00pm (please note: Masks are Mandatory). SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the House of Prayer Church, Kenton or to Blanchard Place Assisted Living, Kenton and condolences can be shared with the family by visiting stoutcrates.com.

My heart broke the day I got the news. Although we all understand the circle of life and its something none of us can avoid, it isn't a bad thing. We were all so blessed to know her. And to love and be loved by her. I play music today because of my sweet aunt. Although she will truly me missed she is in a beautifuĺ place now. And the Angels rejoice. Sure gonna miss her smile. Prayers for the family. I didn't know Martha but I work with her granddaughter Lindsay and she's just wonderful. She has shared a few stories about Martha and she sounded like she had a full, joyous, and loving life. So glad the daughters were able to be with her at the end. God Bless.
