Martha Benson, 91, of Kenton, passed away at 11:00 p.m., Saturday, November 28, 2020, at Marion General Hospital. She was born on July 4, 1929 to the late Roy and Cora Collins. Jane married Reginald I. Benson on September 5, 1952 and he preceded her in death on April 3, 2005. She is survived by her two sons; Bob (Nancy) Benson of Dublin, Steve (Sharon Baxley) Benson of Kenton and 7 grandchildren; Trevor (Amanda), Nick, Trista (David), Bill, Jordy (Angelica), Casey, Kelby and 8 great grandchildren. Jane was preceded in death by her four brothers; Lloyd, Richard, Earl and Donald Collins and three sisters; Helen Hoppe, Opal Andrietti and Mable Collins. She was a 1947 graduate of Kenton High School. Mrs. Benson was the co-owner/manager of the Kenwood Motel from 1965-1974. Jane was a former member of the First Christian Church. She was also a life member of the Orbiting Squares Western Square Dance Club. A private family service will be held at the SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow in Hale Cemetery.
